We are always looking for QUALITY used VINYL records and CDs for resale in our shop. As far as vinyl LPs go, we are always seeking the classics such as The Stones, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, etc., as well as the less known. And, we are always interested in local releases and albums from the 1940’s thru the 1980’s. Simply put, we are as interested in Jimi Hendrix LPs as we are in a set of LPs on How To Teach Your Parakeet to Speak. We buy all formats (CDs, LPs, 78s, 45s) in all genres: jazz, soul & blues, rock n’ roll, old country & folk, punk/new wave, spoken word/poetry, reggae/world music, flat-out oddball stuff as well as anything that just looks interesting. Its easier for us to tell you what we are NOT LOOKING for – we do not want pop singers from the 40’s & 50’s, newer country, as well as most easy listening & classical although if they are part of the collection we’ll go through them. Buying Guidelines LPs, 7”s, & 78’s: (average prices paid $2 on up on LP, $1 on up on 7”s $ 78’s) Condition, Condition, Condition! They should be stored in a dry, cool place, free of mold. Full length LPs need their jackets, 78’s & 7”s don’t necessarily although it can increase the value greatly. Buying Guidelines CDs: (average prices paid $2 on up, in-store only credit for CDs) Condition, Condition, Condition! ! They should be stored in a dry, cool place, free of mold. They need full packaging: jewel case, jackets & of course, CD. So, next time you are cleaning out your storage unit or basement and find LPs or CDs give us a ring & hopefully we can take some of it offer you hands for cash. Beats, throwing ‘em away.
